Every Jewish organization begins with a powerful mission—a dream of creating belonging, a better world, and lasting change. But the journey from vision to reality requires both clear direction and engaged people. That's where I come in.
The organizations I work with get clarity to make confident decisions about their future and the alignment to move forward together. My clients walk away with:
Living plans with clear owners and timelines to guide action each month
Meetings where people solve real problems together instead of just sharing updates
A culture where differences strengthen the work rather than create tension
Core values that show up in everyday decisions and make the hard ones feel easier
What to Expect
I bridge the gap between big-picture vision and practical implementation. My strength lies in seeing multiple perspectives simultaneously—understanding why different stakeholders think the way they do—and translating that into plans everyone can get behind. I keep strategic conversations moving forward without getting stuck in endless detail or losing sight of what matters most. This means you get both the structure you need and the flexibility to adapt as circumstances change.
Why My Approach Works
Holding complexity while making it feel manageable means that I can read the room, adjust in real-time, and keep groups moving toward decisions without anyone feeling steamrolled. I bridge the gap between people who need more detail and those who want to move quickly—ensuring everyone has what they need to contribute their best thinking. This means you’ll get results that are thorough enough to guide action and flexible enough to adapt when reality shifts.
Having led Mayyim Hayyim's transformation from a local to national organization—nearly doubling its budget and staff while expanding its reach worldwide—I've navigated the full spectrum of leadership challenges. During my 12 years as CEO, I saw firsthand how an organization's internal health directly shapes its external impact. Through economic uncertainty, leadership transitions, and evolving beyond startup phase, I learned that sustainable success isn't built on quick fixes—it comes from creating frameworks that provide structure without rigidity—allowing organizations to weather storms while staying true to their purpose.
What Sets My Work Apart
My approach helps your organization overcome strategic challenges with practical steps that enable you to focus on what matters most.
With more than two decades of work experience in the Jewish community, my background gives me a unique perspective on building organizations where systems and people flourish together.
As a Schusterman Senior Fellow with degrees in Social Work from Skidmore College and Boston University, I graduated among the first cohort of DeLet fellows at Brandeis University and spent a formative year studying at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem.
My approach blends strategic leadership with creativity—honed through training in Creative Problem Solving and Applied Improv at ComedySportz Boston, Second City Chicago, and Kismet Improv where I currently perform. This training sharpened my ability to read group dynamics in real-time, help teams navigate uncertainty with confidence, and create space for productive risk-taking. The same skills that help me adjust a scene on stage help me guide organizations through complexity where the path forward isn't immediately clear.
This combination of strategic thinking and creative adaptability shapes everything I do. It informs how I think about who gets to be in the room and whose voices shape the work, how I facilitate difficult conversations, and how I approach accessibility in Jewish spaces. I've written on inclusiveness and mental health in Jewish spaces, with my essay "Steel Womb" featured in McSweeney's 2022 anthology. I quickly build trust across diverse Jewish communities, ask questions that unlock new possibilities, and quite simply, get things done.
